Postcrossing (Poŝttransirado) (la angla traduko sekvas)

Ĉu vi audis pri Postcrossing? La celo estas ke homoj povas ricevi poŝtkartojn (verajn poŝtkartojn, ne retpoŝtkartojn) el multaj aliaj landoj. Kiel ĝi funkcias? Nu, komprenble, vi aniĝas, senkoste. Vi petas poŝtadreson. La retpaĝo elektas hazardan homon kiu ankaŭ uzas Postcrossing. Vi skribas kaj sendas poŝtkarton al tiu elektita homo. Vi atendas. Kaj atendas. Tempo rampas. Finfine, la homo ricevas la poŝtkarton kaj registras ĝin ĉe la retpaĝaro. Nun estas via vico! Hura! Iu, ie en la mondo, ricevos vian adreson kaj skribos al vi. Bone! Plaĉegas al miaj du gefiloj (8 kaj 10)!

Bedaŭrinde, la postcrossing-anoj plejparte skribas en la angla. Fakte, la retpaĝo diras ke oni skribu tiel. Tamen, se oni skribas al alia, kaj ambaŭ parolas saman (neanglan) lingvon, oni rajtas skribi en tiu lingvo. Nun, se nur pli da Esperantistoj sendus poŝtkartojn... Eĉ pli bone, se estus simila retpaĝaro nur por Esperantistoj...

Have you heard about Postcrossing? The goal of Postcrossing is for people to receive postcards (real ones, not electronic) from many other countries. How does it work? Well, of course, you sign-up, but it's free. You request an address. Another random Postcrosser is chosen. You write your postcard and send it to the person. Then you wait. And wait. Finally, the person receives your postcard and records it at the site. Now it's your turn! Someone, somewhere in the world, will receive your address and write a postcard to you. My two kids (8 and 10) love it!

Unfortunately, Postcrossers mostly write in English. In fact, the web page indicates that you should write in English. However, if two people speak the same language, it's okay to write in the shared language. Now, if only more Esperanto speakers were Postcrossers. Or perhaps even better, if there were a similar page just for Esperantists...
